The scope of this Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct is a set of rules and guidelines designed to maintain a professional product and secure that the use of this platform is in line with our company values.
Lenus is the partner for growth to the world’s best health and fitness coaches. The aim is to support coaches to reduce time spent on administrative tasks so they can prioritize creating value for their clients. Lenus has developed a market-leading platform and a series of innovative tools for coaches to scale their business. In addition, Lenus has a dedicated team of in-house professionals with a variety of expertise such as nutrition, habits, psychology, mental and physical health.
The coach is responsible for the coaching and bears full responsibility for the entire course with a client.
The coach is empowered by the above-mentioned tools and services put forward by Lenus.
Lenus requires all coaches and business partners to follow this Code of Conduct together with the laws and regulations of the countries where Lenus operates. Coaches partnering with Lenus have the tools and receive support to act according to this Code of Conduct. All coaches must follow the local rules and regulations.
If a coach makes any breach to this Code of Conduct, it can ultimately lead to a termination of contract with Lenus.
While conducting business, coaches should provide transparency to their clients. Clients have the right to know who they are communicating with, receiving advice from, or developing a trusted relationship with. Team members must identify themselves by name or as being part of a coach team.
Lenus requires transparency in all communication between a coach/a coaching team and a client, while also providing full transparency about the nature of the support and relevant qualifications of the coach and team members.
Care for the client
Partnering coaches and their team members are required to have a relevant background within physical, nutrition and/or mental health.
Coaches are encouraged to practice online coaching from a client-centered perspective, where the client is an active agent and is included in the decision making-process. Lenus puts the necessary tools and guidelines available to every coach in order to develop coach interventions that take client preferences, values, goals, and circumstances into consideration.
Coaches must only accept clients, whom they are competent to help and coach. Lenus provides a screening tool based on the SCOOF questionnaire (Morgan, Reid and Lacey, 1999). The tool can help any coach to identify people who may be at risk or have an eating disorder. Lenus provides the necessary guidelines for the coach to follow in any case.
Care for the coach
Coaches are encouraged to constantly improve their professional skills which is continuously supported by the in-house health professionals at Lenus.
At Lenus we perceive health to be affected by an individual’s physical, mental, and social state of mind. This does not only apply to clients, but also coaches. Lenus has developed a burnout questionnaire which aims to detect burnouts among coaches so they can be prevented. The questionnaire is made available to every coach voluntarily. Lenus provides the necessary guidelines for the coach to follow in any case.
Clients must be at least 18 years of age to work with a Lenus coach or use the Lenus platform.
Lenus wants to be transparent about the current level of client satisfaction. We monitor client satisfaction through an external, objective provider, EPSI Rating. Monitoring client satisfaction allows us to ensure that clients are receiving services of the expected quality and allows us to take the necessary steps to continually improve. The client satisfaction score is showcased on our website.
Intolerance for illegal substances
Lenus does not tolerate the use of illegal substances in fitness. Neither does Lenus tolerate any advice nor coaching, implicit or explicit, on the consumption or use of illegal substances and performance-enhancing drugs.
Lenus only does business with partners who follow the laws and regulations in the country of operation.
Tax evasion and illicit business are a violation of our code of conduct. Therefore, providing up-to-date business information to Lenus is a strict requirement for cooperation.
At Lenus, we hold user privacy in high regard. We process all information confidentially and comply with our obligations as a data processor and controller under GDPR and other applicable privacy regulations.
Information on our technical and organizational safety protocols and measures is available in our data policy and data processing agreement, which includes how Lenus is taking the necessary measures to secure against any unauthorized access to users’ data.
